Despite COVID cancelling Claudette & Nicholas’s original wedding plans at the Santa Barbara Courthouse, they chose to still honor their love with a special anniversary session. It was the windiest of days, but they smiled and laughed it off with ease, focused on making memories with one another, no matter how messy the hair!

What is one piece of advice you would provide to another couple preparing for their engagement/couples’ session?
Wear something you both feel great in, remember why you love each other & be yourselves. Oops that’s 3 pieces of advice
Why did you select your session location (e.g. because it was the site of our first date, etc.)?
Santa Barbara is beautiful, the weather is perfect, and we love Spanish-style architecture.
Any mindsets that you would suggest a couple take into their engagement session?
Breathe, remember why you love and care about each other and why you are together.
What would you tell someone who is wary about investing in photography?
When you’re investing in a photographer’s time and talent, they’re giving you all that they’ve got because this is this art and passion. If you love a photographer‘s style and their product, it’s because they worked hard to get to that point and have their art make a connection with you. It’s worth it to invest in photography that captures your life’s greatest memories. The photos end up being treasures that you can look back on and also pass down to future generations if you would like to.
Any additional pieces of advice you’d like to share with your fellow couples?
Be silly, be affectionate, remember why you are in love. These photos are for you and your partner. No one else.
